Has it truly been a month and a half of no Blueprints? Yes! Sometimes time gets away from us (well, me specifically!) But we’re back at it again from this week!
Indeed I have take an extended break from your inboxes, and that was mostly to plan how best I can deliver the most impactful insights on Value creation to you, with zero fuss or muss. And indeed, I do have new editions planned that will do just that!
But before we get into that, let’s have a quick refresher on Value and Value Innovation, and get back to the fundamentals of Value creation!

Enter Value.
There’s this concept: Value. It’s everywhere.
We all know it’s important, and that everyone in our enterprise environment is looking to create and leverage it
Us, our prospective clients, partners, even competitors are dying to have it
The problem? As business owners, organization leaders and creatives we need a solid, reliable and consistent way to approach creating and leveraging it
Spotting the patterns of Value creation
Through trial, error and experience, we recognise that there seem to be patterns and dynamics to Value and how it can be created
This is where Vivre Consulting and I entered the scene!
I studied the dynamics of Value, and discovered there’s consistencies to these dynamics
Understanding the dynamics and principles that underpin Value puts us on the path to getting that reliable Value creation: we’ve now got a modicum of consistency to the whole thing!
Establishing the methodology and approach to Value creation
Armed with the Principles and a good grasp of the Value needs, we now move on to the actual process of creating Value
Enter Value Innovation!

Value Innovation is the methodology and process by which an enterprise (like yours! be it a business, non-profit or creative venture) identifies, articulates and leverages on Value and Value creation opportunities both inside and outside of itself to drive successWhat does that look like?
Scoping out the issue(s) you need to solve in your enterprise using Value creation
Mapping out the gaps and places where Value can be created (a.k.a. Value creation opportunities)
Designing a strategy that leverages those Value creation opportunities
Executing that Value strategy

Using the framework to uncover Value
At this point, we’ve got a nice method for “doing” Value creation, but we’ve got another stop gap that makes us backtrack a little:
how exactly do we even visualise Value creation opportunities? Where, or how, do we look?This is where the Vivre Value Mapping framework comes in!
In my studies of Value creation dynamics, I noted that there’s 4 main places within enterprises and ventures where Value creation tends to “hang around” and be most impactful:
Internally, connected to the enterprise’s Value Proposition and its Business Strategy, and
Externally, linked to its Niche and networks connected via Value generation
The Vivre Value Mapping framework is a nifty tool Vivre Consulting and I use to not only spot Value opportunities in these typical hotspots, but also scope out issues that crop up and mess with an enterprise’s ability to create Value

Designing and executing Value Strategy
Now that we’ve found what we’re looking for using the Value Mapping framework (it can be used both for identifying our problem AND finding those Value opportunities, by the way!), we can get into the artful part of Value Innovation!
Using the Value creation opportunities uncovered during the Mapping stage as our starting point and raw materials, we then craft strategies and execution plans to leverage those opportunities!
This part proceeds just like the strategic planning and development you’re used to; the only difference is that we’re moving with Value and Value creation as the primary focus
Armed with the understanding of Value and Value creation dynamics, a set and consistent methodology for Value creation, and a tool for uncovering where that Value can be created and leveraged for maximum impact, you’re fully in to drive success with Value at the forefront of your work!
Doing the Value thing
Demystifying Value creation is a really beneficial process, for you and for your operations no matter the size or industry type. It does take some effort to get there, but it’s completely worth it!
